My lessons cover proper technique, musicality, theory, and stylization in a fun and friendly atmosphere. My goal is to teach my students to play the best they can, and give them a lifelong love for playing and music in general. The material is individually customized for each student using standard pedagogical exercises, etudes and solos, as well as my own compositions.

Students are expected to practice daily. The individual practice sessions should be spent working on the given material in preparation for the next lesson. On occasion there will be music theory assignments that will need to be completed as well.

Guidelines for choosing the length of the lesson:
In general beginning students should start with half hour lessons for the first year or two (6th & 7th Grade). By the start of the third year, (8th Grade) students should be taking 45 minute lessons. Serious students should take one hour lessons with the start of their fourth year (Freshman).
